iPhone Engraving at EngravingMadeEasy.com

Unfortunately Apple won't engrave you iPhone for you. However, that doesn't mean you can't get your iPhone engraved at all!

Most metal engraving is done by jewelry shops. They generally do more engraving that any other business and have the professional tools to get it done right. When your cousin with a Dremel offers to engrave your iPhone, give him a piece of polished aluminum to test before handing over your iPhone. You'll thank me after you see his first attempt!

Since there are most likely plenty of jewelry stores in your area, visit a couple of them and ask them if they have done any iPhone engraving. If they have, ask if they have pictures. Also ask if they do the engraving free-hand or if they use an engraving machine. Ideally they have a machine that will clamp your iPhone down to ensure it's secure. This will give you perfect lettering and make sure that they words are straight.

Here are a few common tips for getting the best iPhone engraving.

  • Turn your iPhone off. A vibrating iPhone can mess up the engraving process and give you crooked letters.
  • Make sure and triple check to make sure everything is spelled correctly and the font is one you like.
  • Some jewelers charge an outrageous amount of money, so shop around before committing.
  • Ask to see samples of recent engravings. Some engraving machines don't make crisp letters. If they use a blade it can dull.

Once you have all your questions answered, price agreed upon, it's time to get your iPhone engraved. Once you have it engraved, send me a picture!
